Overview

An oil ship tanker, the foregoing is a brief outline of a fairly complex system that has now passed the preliminary stage and is sufficiently promising that it has engendered a great deal of interest on the part of ship builders, oil companies, marine carriers, insurance companies and environment authorities.

This design will drastically reduce pollution due to nature’s ravages and/or man’s negligence. Superior to even double bottom ship design our concept makes the oil tanker not only safer but provides additional benefits – possible the greatest economic benefit of this system – comes from the capabilities to transport two dissimilar commodities such as crude oil – water, crude oil – wine for example.

This provides total flexibility in the allocation of space in either direction. Two commodities could be carried with, say 60% of one and 40% of the other on one trip….and 90% of one and 10% of the other on an ensuing voyage.

With major concerns for the environment growing, governments are finally forced into action to help reduce oil spillage accidents. Various inquiries have strongly recommended to switch all existing oil tankers to the double bottom design as a first line of defense. Our system exceeds the safety factor of a double hull design and provides many added features which will pay for the new design in a very short time.
